A Disc Check Valve (or Non-Return Valve) is an automatic, two-port valve that allows fluid (liquid, gas, steam) to flow in only one direction, preventing backflow by using a movable disc that opens with forward pressure and closes against the seat when flow stops or reverses, often aided by a spring for quick closure to protect pumps and systems from damage.
